The Story

Product Specs:
ø2.75" x H2.25"/ 4.7oz

Founded in Tokyo in 1899, Hirota Glass is one of the oldest glass manufacturers in Japan. The Taisho Roman Series features beautiful milky white patterns. These milky white patterns are created by exposing the glass to sudden temperature changes during molding. The open-air technique for producing “milky glass” was popular in the Meiji and Taisho eras, but only a few antique shops like Hirota Glass produce glasses using this technique now.

  • Hand Made Opal Glass, Hand Blown
  • Made in Japan
  • Hand wash only
